Mi a valódi és mi nem – ez többé nem kérdés egy olyan világban, amely csak önmaga körül forog és magát minden világok legfontosabbikának tartja. Adriana, az ünnepelt színésznő belemegy ebbe a játékba – majd kiszáll és a halálon keresztül megérti, mi volt egyedül valódi az életében: a szerelme.

This ballet's plot is inspired by The Corsair, a famous verse written in 1814 by Lord Byron, who towered over an entire generation of English Romantic poets.
While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
Set in the Roman Empire around 74 BC, Spartacus was László Seregi's first true full-length ballet, which at one stroke became a milestone in Hungarian dance life. Since 1968, one generation after another has enjoyed the historically themed choreography, which treats the story of the ancient slave revolt in such a way that its true message is not the rebellion itself, but rather human emotions and choices under pressure.
