Hajdan szép lányok voltak, az idő azonban eljárt a két Szkalla lány felett. Giza Münchenben él fiával, magányosan, tolószékben. Orbánné Budapesten énektanár. A nővérek nap mint nap felhívják egymást, és mindennap felelevenítik ifjúságukat. Giza tanácsokat ad testvérének szerelmi ügyében, aki Cseremlényi, a hőstenor felé éli meg talán utolsó érzelmi viharzását, ám a férfi megcsalja. Orbánnénak albérlője is van: Egérke, akivel néha macskajátékot játszik, ha jó a kedve.
