2004 nyarán a Kossuth-díjas írónő Álarcosbál regényéből Somogyi Szilárd igazi musicalcsemegét készített. Magda néni természetesen látta ezt az előadást, és nagyon boldog volt, hogy a musical műfajában is megjelenik. Igazán ez "törte meg a jeget", hiszen sokan sokszor kérték tőle az Abigél című regényt is, hogy musicalt írjanak belőle. Az Álarcosbál sikere után az ifjú rendező kapta meg tőle ezt a lehetőséget, s írta meg az Abigél című musical szövegkönyvét. Társa lett a munkában Kocsák Tibor zeneszerző és Miklós Tibor dalszövegíró, akik már korábban, a Rock Színház idején vittek sikerre zenés műként olyan irodalmi remekeket, mint a Légy jó mindhalálig vagy az Anna Karenin.
