Tüneményes történet, remek szerepek, mennyei muzsika fülbemászó slágerdalokkal. Csupa-csupa örömforrás színésznek, rendezőnek, de mindenekelőtt és mindenekfölött a közönségnek. Mint a darab rendezője ebben a szinopszisban nem mesélem el a storyt, viszont felszólítom a kedves publikumot, hogy az általam kreált alcímet (operettőrület) tessenek halálosan komolyan venni!
A ragyogó színészcsapat nevében megígérhetem, hogy a próbák és a majdani előadások az őrület jegyében zajlanak, és remélhetőleg - terveim szerint az Önök jóvoltából - az előadás végén szék nem marad szárazon.

A century ago, the world first encountered this remarkable opus, a work that soon became one of the cornerstones of twentieth-century musical innovation. Premiered in 1926, the singspiel is a milestone in Hungarian music history: its composer, Zoltán Kodály, fulfilled his aspiration to elevate Hungarian folk song of ancient origin to the same status as classical music, by virtue of its equivalent values, placing it on the stage of the nation’s Opera House.

Two giants of Baroque music meet during the Advent season in a performance by the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus. Bach’s well-known Magnificat is performed in its original version, in E-flat major, supplemented with movements specifically tailored to the festive season by the composer himself.
