Volt egyszer egy lány, akit mindenki csak Hamupipőkének hívott. Édesanyja halála után az apja új családot alapított, ám amikor ő is eltávozott, Hamupipőkének egy szigorú mostohával és két hiú mostohanővérrel kellett együtt élnie.
Egy nap nagy hír járta be az országot: a királyfi bált rendez, ahová minden fiatal lányt meghív. A mostohanővérek izgatottan készülődnek, Hamupipőke viszont otthon maradna… ha a csoda nem kopogtatna az ajtón. Egy titokzatos segítő, kedves állatok és egy gyönyörű ruha segítik eljutni a bálba – de csak éjfélig!
Amikor az óra tizenkettőt üt, futnia kell, és egy cipő a lépcsőn marad. A királyfi pedig elindul, hogy megkeresse őt....
