Heldenplatz_
Thomas Bernhard 1988-ban, az Anschluss ötvenedik évfordulójára írta Heldenplatz, azaz Hősök tere című darabját, amelynek bemutatása nagy vihart kavart Ausztriában. Bernhard már darabja címében is provokálta a közönséget, hiszen Hitler a Heldenplatzon tartotta beszédét a német bevonulás alkalmából, és a mai napig viták tárgyát képezi, valójában és számszerűen hány osztrák is ünnepelte a náci hatalomátvételt a Heldenplatzon.
