Szerető feleség, sikeres karrier, anyagi biztonság. Richardnak tökéletes az élete… csaknem. És mégis – vagy épp ezért – valami hiányzik a munkahelyre való mindennapi ingázáson és a családi életen túl. Mígnem egy szép napon, hazafelé tartva a vonatablakból észrevesz egy titokzatosan vonzó, fiatal nőt, aki a „Miss Betsy tánciskolája” neon fölötti ablakból néz el valahová a messziségbe… A pillantás rabul ejti a férfit. Legyőzve félénkségét, beiratkozik a tánciskolába...

For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.

Bartók Béla’s two highly influential stage works explore the dynamics of the relationship between man and woman and the deeper layers of their personalities, as presented by creators who, through a fusion of tradition and innovation, reveal the possibilities inherent in these works for 21st-century audiences.
