Gimesi Dóra adaptációja a XIX. századi Angliába helyezi és új színekkel gazdagítja az alapművet: itt Hamupipőke fiúsan szertelen, szabadszellemű kamasz, a mostoha pedig egy régi, klasszikus világrend hűséges őrzője – elodázhatatlan, hogy kettejük gyökeresen ellentétes világlátása összecsapjon. Össze is csap, sok sírást és nevetést csiholva, s így a Miskolci Nemzeti Színház előadása érzékenyen, mégis sok humorral, színes, szélesvásznú produkcióban mesélheti újra Hamupipőke történetét.
