Rohonc, 1945. március vége. A Batthyány-kastélyban bajtársi találkozót tartanak SS-főtisztek és vendéglátójuk, Bornemisza-Thyssen grófnő. A mulatozás hamarosan orgiába fordul, amelynek csúcspontján a most ide szállított kétszáz zsidó munkaszolgálatost egy juhakolba terelik és meggyilkolják. A Nobel-díjas osztrák költőnő ennek kapcsán írt elborzasztó- elbűvölő szürreális látomást a nemzeti lelkiismeretről. Hazai bemutatója új megvilágításba helyezi a művet, elvégre az áldozatok honfitársaink, magyarok voltak.

For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.
The world-renowned American baritone, who recently celebrated his 70th birthday, sang in choirs and studied music from childhood. After winning several competitions, he was taken under the wing of the legendary coloratura soprano Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, which helped launch his European career.
