Fosse műveiben a lényeg: egy-egy emberi élet nem ragadható meg a történések által. Pontosabban a történések és a nem-történések által ragadható meg egy-egy pillanatra. Hogy arra az egyetlen pillanatra azt érezzük: ismerjük azt az embert, értjük őt. És a következő pillanatban már újra nem ismerjük, és nem értjük. És hogy az életben végtelenül egyszerű és mégis megfejthetetlen minden. (Bérczes László, rendező)
